This is one of the most popular destinations from the southern end of Phuket Island. The water is beautiful; perfect for water sports such as para-sailing, snorkeling, skiing, sailing and scuba diving. Casual beach restaurants serve good Thai food and cold beer. While tours are available, it's easy to get there oneself by hiring a long-tail boat for half a day. (The best place for this is Rawai Beach, at the southern end of the island, where a boat should take you for about 800 Baht for half a day). There is a wonderful resort, Coral Island Resort, where you can stay for a couple of nights.
